Near You
Sometimes when I'm near you,
I feel the air change
it becomes so intense... so charged,
that it hurts to stay in the same room with you.
but it hurts even more to leave.
It hurts to leave your smile, your laughter, your thoughts....
When I'm near you,
I try to control my breathing so that is even with yours
and if I'm close enough, I can even feel my heart begin to beat with yours
essentially allowing us to become one,
becoming so in touch with each others thought
that its like we have know each other our entire lives.
But as I turn to leave,
I can feel myself wanting to be near you again,
To feel the connection we have,
To feel whole.
