DISCLAIMER: I don’t own Farscape. It belongs to a lot of people who are not me. I mean no harm, I come in peace.
RATING: G
SUMMARY: Aeryn POV poem.
ARCHIVING: Um, since it sucks, I’m limiting it to my site, and Dani’s if she wants it.
AUTHOR’S NOTES: It’s my first attempt at fic-poetry (I’ve done poetry before, but none that I will EVER show anyone, therefore I don’t know if it’s any good), and I think it sucks. Form? Verse? What’s that? What do
these things mean? But I tried, and that’s what matters.
DEDICATION: For Dani, Queen of all things Fic-Poetry.
*****
I took a chance
It’s not like there was another choice.
At least none I’d be happy with.
At least this way I had a shot.
So now I have a chance to live my life,
To choose my own destiny.
I’ve never had a chance for that before.
There’s no other alternative.
And as hard as it is,
As painful, as harsh,
It’s much better than where I could be.
I dare not even think of that.
I’ll always miss the past.
That pain will never diminish.
But I did what I had to do
And I can’t allow myself to look back.
