"Crichton, where are you?" Aeryn Sun asked, searching the ship for the
missing human.
"This is not funny, Crichton. Tell me where you are."
"No Aeryn." John's voice came through the comm. "That's the point of the
game. You have to find me."
Aeryn sighed. She wished she had never told the human that he could hide
very well.
"Any way, you were close." Crichton said, as he stepped into view.
Aeryn walked towards him, raising her pulse rifle.
"I don't get the point of hide and seek. What's the fun in hiding?" the
former PK officer asked.
Crichton pushed the barrel of the pulse rifle down. "It's a game. See it
as a strategy game. This way, you can sneak up on your enemies. Surprise
them, you know…"
"Sneaking up on enemies is dishonoring. But I'm sure it's a human
strategy."
"Oh… sure. Commandos use it. Very effective too.. But after all, you
weren't a commando yet." Crichton said as he turned and disappeared
around the corner.
"Come back! It's your fault I'm not a commando." Aeryn said as she
pursued him.
As she rounded the corner, an empty corridor greeted her.
"Where are you?"
"Hide and seek, Aeryn. Hide and seek…"
