As the rain pounded against the window and you leaned in to kiss me, I lost all track of time. There were a thousand thoughts swirling around inside my head; but as your lips softly touched mine, I lost all control.
Time seemed to stop and I suddenly became aware of how comfortable I felt with you, of how every inch of my body relaxed into your arms. But as you ended the kiss and walked toward the window, my body once again tensed up with the uncertainty of what would happen next. The sound of rain began to mingle with the soft music that had begun playing softly in the background.
"Dance with me." John whispered.
I tried to tell you that I didn't know what you were talking about, but you took my hand and pulled me into your arms before I could refuse.
"John!?"
"Shhh... just listen."
.......maybe I'll find some peace tonight, in the arms of an angel, fly away from here, form this dark cold hotel room and the endlessness that you fear, you are pulled from the wreckage of your silent reverie you're in the arms of an angel, may you find some comfort there...
"I won't let them hurt you." John muttered into my ear.
"I know."
So as the music played in the background, I once again relaxed into the arms of my angel.
