Location: Hard Rock Cafe; Beverly Center; Los Angeles, CA
Rating: and 1/2

Going to this concert was really a spur-of-the-moment deal. My friend Amber and I were bored out of our minds right before finals, so we headed over to the Hard Rock for some dinner and some music. We got there at six, and the concert didn't start until nine, so we had major time to kill. Lucky us, we got to watch soundcheck for all three bands playing that night (and got to talk to a hottie guitarist!) And since we were there so early, we got to skip the cover charge, HOORAY! (Hey, we are cheap college students!)Anyway, Tony's set only lasted about an hour, and it was kind of... BORING. I hate to be mean, but the only song that captured my attention was "Honestly for You." On a couple songs, he had some girl backup singers who were absolutely HORRID and gave me a headache. Tony, however, has an amazing voice, and the lyrics he writes are beautiful. The songs are a bit unstructured (its hard to tell where one stops and another begins), but the lyrics themselves were awesome. Maybe it was just the audience(a buch of rock fans), but Tony didn't seem to fit in at the Hard Rock. On a weird note: I saw like 10 girls from the Joey Mc concert.. I was trippin!
