I know most of you probably don't really care about Cher, but she is one of *MY* idols, so I'm going to write about it anyway!
This concert was held at the newly built Staples Center, here in LA, and the place is amazing! However, parking cost $20!!! At first I thought it was a joke... but nooooooo....
So my mom and I got there really early, and our seats were on the floor, towards the back, and they were semi-raised so we had a perfect view. **Side note: I have never seen so many drunk forty year old women and gay men in my life.**
The first opening act was C-NOTE, who I *love*! (If you want to know more about C-NOTE, go to our New Artists section.) They did a great job, but they weren't quite right for the crowd.
Next up was Lou Bega. If I ever have to sit through that man again, I will cry. Honestly I will. His entire set was just an excuse to get scantily-clad women onstage to gyrate beside him. It was disgusting, I couldn't tell where one song ended and another began.
Finally, the diva herself took the stage. If you ever get the chance to go to a Cher concert, GO! Even if you don't know any of her music, her show is like a circus! She has dancers, enormous set changes, eleven costume/wig changes and people flying from the ceiling. And if the action on the stage doesn't hold your attention, just watch the crowd. I saw some *interesting* outfits and even MORE interesting dancing going on. It was excellent. Cher may not be the best *singer* out there, but her sharp wit and excellent showmanship make her the best ticket out there.
