It has come to a point and time to address a serious issue for the Backstreet clan. It has been known for a while now that AJ has been having his difficulties with alchaholism. Some just found out on TRL, some knew from Rolling Stone, but others such as myself, knew from the start. Now I am not one of these people to go around and cry about this. AJ wants to be happy as implied by the song that he sang on TRL. The teenyboppers do *not* understand this concept. They feel that since AJ's getting help the BSB are hurting. No. The BSB knew what had to be done...It was immenent. They just didn't know when it was going to happen...well... what were they waiting for? They were waiting for AJ to realize for himself that he had a problem. You can't try to help someone who mentally doesn't know that they have a problem. He figured out that he WANTS to be better and he WANTS to be happy. So I applaud him for seeking that help. For all those bitches who weep and whine because " my concerts post-poned! ::Boo-Hoo::" FUCK YOU! They rescheduled you fucking asses. For those who cried, well, you should be happy for AJ, not sad. Now that he's recieveing treatment for his " illness " so to speak, he will no longer be harming himself, the boys, or anyone else that he's close too. Depression is also involved in this. If you don't know about it, then look it up. Alchahol and Depression AREN'T a pretty mixture. Now, to the ones of us who are TRUE fans, then there is nothing that needs to be addressed at this time. You know whats happening and you know that in the end, like always everything will be fine. And you are thinking RATIONALLY.
Another thing to the ones who want to send him " get well " gifts and cards, I OPPOSE this. No. This shouldn't be done. When your depressed, then you are constantly reminded of bad things and things that you may have said or done. and Cards, letters, gifts from the fans are acceptable UNLESS you are depressed. A depressed person is ALREADY feeling sorry for themselves and YOUR pity will only make the matter worse.
