Open Mouth Night was originally conceived back in 2000 as an alternative to the standard banal poetry readings at our local coffeehouses. More so it is a place for people to get drunk (or not) and preserve the fine art of storytelling and ranting.
Anything goes at open mouth night, participants are encouraged to read whatever strikes their fancy, poetry, short stories, vcr programing instructions, phone books, dictionaries, toxic shock syndrome warnings, drunken letters to exes, etc...
