This is my own little tribute to Tori Amos, to whom I
owe my life and soul.
I have been a fan of hers for about six or seven years
now, but it was only about three or four
years ago (alright so I am not good with exact dates.
Shut up.) that I was over at my friend
Riana's house and she played the Crucify single for me
and I heard Winter. I mean, up until
this point in my life, I had known that Tori was cool
and all, but when I heard Winter, I
fell completely and entirely in love with her. And
since then, there have been some
really hard times in my life that (laugh if you want,
what do I care?) I feel I wouldn't
have known how to deal with or how to get through if
not for Tori and her music. I can
recall more than one night of sitting in my room
listening to mostly Little Earthquakes
and Boys for Pele and just crying for hours on end.
Honestly, this is what I did for like
the entire winter season during my Sophomore year. Every
night after dinner, I would go and sit
in my room, turn on Tori, sit down at my computer,
sometimes I would write, sometimes I would
work on homework, sometimes I would play a game or
something, but I would ALWAYS be crying.
So anyhow, I am still very much obsessed with her and
I love her and I love her music,
(anyone want to guess what I was listening to when I
lost my virginity? ;-)) and this is
my tribute. Tori, thank you for reassuring me that I
wasn't the only one that felt what
I did, and that I would get through it okay. Now for
those of you who don't give a shit
about the way Tori has impacted my life, I guess you
have already skipped this so here
are your damned pictures, you unfeeling sewer monkeys.
The pretty redhead. This is kind of an old picture
that everyone has seen.
Blue Tori on a rock being a faerie. This one is
From the Choirgirl Hotel.
This coat makes her look almost vampyric, don't
you think?
Tori getting married at a Pagan castle in Cornwall,
England. If I had been there, I swear I would
have been crying!
Tori feeling the power and looking very spooky at a concert.
Tori seeing how pretty she is.
Tea and dancing with the devil. I think this one's from Entertainment Weekly.
This girl is too cute! I got to to see this show.
Screamin' in cathedrals. Ever so pretty Tori.
Tori the water nymph. Tres jolie et tres sexy!
Even goddesses have bones and muscles that can hurt.
