ISAAC'S HARBOUR- DOUGLAS STANLEY COOKE, 56,
of this community died Tuesday
in St.Martha's Hospital, Antigonish.
Born in Isaac's Harbour, he was a son of Bertha (Langille)Cooke
and the late
Samuel Cooke. He spent his working life
as a seaman on the
Great Lakes.
Surviving, besides his mother,
are his wife, Maxine; a son, Rodney,and a
daughter, Monique,
both of Isaac's Harbour; 9 brothers,Howard, Terrace Bay,Ont.,
Albert, Edison Jr.,and Raymond, all
of Isaac's Hbr.,
Cecil, Eight Island Lake; Jackie,Halifax; Arnold, Dartmouth;
Allen, Westphal;
Wayne, Calgary; 5 sisters, Alice(Mrs.Lawrence
Peters),Winnipeg;
Florence(Mrs.Russell Munroe),Whitehead; Joyce, (Mrs.
Wilson Avery), Isaac's Hbr;
Ilene(Mrs.Richard Hudson),Country Harbour;
Verna(Mrs.Arthur Steeves),Timberlea;
a number of nephews and nieces.
The remains are resting in Isaac's Harbour United Baptist Church,
with visiting 3-5pm. and 7-9pm. today.
Funeral will be held at 2:30pm.
Friday.
Internment will bi in Isaac's Harbour Cemetery.
