OBITUARY - HAROLD FLOYD “PAPA” WEBBER

November 2, 2001, in the New Halifax Infirmary, QEII.
Born in Tor Bay, he was a son of the late
Lewis and Annie Elizabeth [Jamieson] Webber.
He was a member of The Church of the Good Sheperd, Tor Bay.
In earlier years, he was a lobster fisherman and also
worked for a number of years for Energy Mines and Resources
on the lakes of Ontario and the St. Lawrence River, Quebec.
He returned home to Nova Scotia and worked at
Larry’s River Fish Plant. Following this, he went
to work at Doug Richard’s Construction where he worked
until his retirement. Harold was a devoted husband and father
who lovingly took care of his wife, Margaret “Monnie” (Shaw)
until her passing in April of 2001.
He survived by his son, Kenny, Tor Bay and daughter Anna
(Carmen ) Nickerson, New Harbour; brother Lloyd (Sharon),
Oakland, Ont.; sister Barbara (Edwin) Wright,
New Harbour; grandchildren Brittany and Ryan Nickerson,
New Harbour; Marrianne (Robert Hendsbee), Tor Bay;
great-granddaughter, Madision Hendsbee; step-great- grandchildren,
Andrew and Chelsea Hendsbee; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today, funeral service will be
at 2 p.m. Tuesday, both in
The Church of the Good Sheperd, Tor Bay,
Rev. Ian Whissler officiating. Burial in The Church
of the Good Sheperd Cemetery. No flowers by family request.
Memorial donations may be made to
the Canadian Cancer Society or Guysborough Memorial Hospital.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to G.W. Giffin Funeral Home, Country Harbour.
