Jones, William Angus - 74,
Country Harbour, Guysborough Co.,
died April 14, 1997, at home. Born in North Ogden,
Guysborough Co., he was a son of the
late John Joseph and Martha Ann (Munroe) Jones.
He was a woodsman and was employed with
the Department of Transportation until his retirement.
He was a councilor for District 7 Municipality,
District of Guysborough, for nine years.
He was an adherent of Zion United Church
and a committee member of Hillside Cemetery.
Surviving are his wife, the former
Effie Marie Hudson; sisters, Margaret (Mrs. Clarence Hudson),
Antigonish; Martha (Mrs. Donald Cameron),
Waltham, Mass., Laura Rhynold, Whitehead, Guysborough Co.,
Anna (Mrs. Rollie Worth), Merland, Antigonish Co.,
brothers, John, Stormont, Guysborough Co.,
Gordon, Niagara Falls; Fred, Argyle, Guysborough Co.,
many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by brothers,
Gordon Matthew and Gerald Eliott in infancy,
George and Leonard. Visitation 7-9 p.m.
today, 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, funeral 2 p.m. Thursday,
all in Zion United Church, Cross Roads Country Harbour,
Rev. Bob Manly officiating. Burial in Hillside Cemetery,
Cross Roads, Country Harbour. Donations may be made
to Zion United Church Memorial Fund.
Arrangements entrusted to G.W.Giffin Funeral Home, Country Harbour.
