JONES, ROY ALFRED SCOTT - 87,
Halifax, died June 16, 1998, in Camp Hill Veterans Memorial Building.
Born in Cook's Cove, Guys.Co., he was a son of the late
Blanchard and Harriet (Jones) Jones.
He was a veteran of the Second World War.
For a number of years, he was a stevedore on the Halifax waterfront
and he also worked for Parks Canada on Citadel Hill,
retiring in 1961. Surviving are daughters, Elizabeth,
(Mrs.Zdravko Zunic),Walton; Rose(Mrs. Albert Knight),Halifax;
sister, Mrs. Bessie Pitt, Lynn, Mass;
5 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by
his wife, Elizabeth Gertrude(May);
brother, Lloyd. Visitation 2-4,7-9pm.
today in Snow's Funeral Home, Windsor Street, Halifax.
Funeral 2 pm. Friday in Brunswick Street United Church,
Rev. Gus Pendleton officiating. Burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery.
Donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or Canadian Cancer Society.
