FANNING,FORD WHYLIE - 81,
Sunny Brae, Pictou Co., died Dec. 24, 1997
in Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Drum Head,
Guys.Co., he was a son of the late William and Esther(Sponagle)Fanning.
He had been a resident of Sunny Brae for all his married life.
He was a member of Sunny Brae United Church,
where he was an elder. He had served as treasurer
of Sunny Brae Cemetery since 1965. He served overseas
with the Royal Canadian Air Force and later worked with Maritime Steel
until retirement. Surviving are his wife,the former Elsie Johnstone;
daughter, Wanda(Mrs.Charlie Cameron), Springville;
son, Wayne, Valley, Colchester Co; 5 grandchildren;
brother Jim, Drum Head; sister, Beryl Langley, Seal Hbr.
He was predeceased by brother, Arnold; sisters, Kathleen, Ethel;
stepmother, Lois Sponagle Fanning. Visitation 2-4, 7-9pm. today.
Funeral 2pm.Saturday, both in H.W. Angus Funeral Home,
New Glasgow, Rev. Marjorie Corneilus officiating.
Burial in Sunny Brae Cemetry. Donations to
Sunny Brae United Church, Sunny Brae Cemetery or any charity.
