North Street, Halifax, died May 14,1998,
in QE11 Health Sciences Centre, VG Site.
He was born in Goldenville, Guys. Co.
He served in the Second World War and served overseas for five years.
He was a former member of Royal Canadian Legion, Scotia Branch 25.
Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth(Betty)(MacPhee)(Flynn) Sponagle;
children, Darlene, Pictou County; Karla, Tammy, Dartmouth;
Andrew, Antigonish; stepchildren, Carol, Dartmouth; Walter, Gail, Wayne,
Terry, Pat, Stephen, Halifax; several grandchildren; 8 great grand- children;
several nieces and nephews; sisters, Irene MacDonald,
Olive Christian, Doris Hutchinson, Halifax; Ida Sponagle, Montreal;
brothers; Harold, Halifax; Morton, Liverpool; Bob, Guys.Co.
He was predeceased by brother, Edward, Guys. Co.; sister, Alberta Smith,
Guys. Co. Visitation 7-9pm today, 2-4, 7-9pm Sunday,
funeral 11am Monday, all in the J.A. Snow Funeral Home,
2666 Windsor St., Halifax. Burial to follow
in Oakridge Memory Gardens, Lower Sackville.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made
to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
