SMITH, WILLIAM DAVID "WILL"- 79,
Priestville,died Saturday, August 4, 2001, at home.
Born in Goldboro, Guys. Co., he was a son of
the late John Hugh and Ethel (Clyburn) Smith.
He served as a Corporal, enrolled in the no.6 District
Depot, A.A. with the Canadian Army during the Second World War
and had been an employee of the former Standard Clay, New Glasgow.
He was a member of St. Gregory's Roman Catholic Church, New Glasgow.
Will was an avid Blue Jays fan and loved his family.
Surviving are his wife, Francis Christina (Malcolm);
daughters Donna (John) Carter, Patsy (Dan) Aikins,
Marilyn (Ritchie),all of Westville; sons, David Arthur(Leona),
New Brunswick; Sterling John (Rachel), Stellarton; sisters, Anne Crooks,
Riverton; Janet MacKay, Stellarton; brother,
Everett" Ace"( Mary), Priestville; 10 grandchildren;
4 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by
sisters, Jessie, Tina; brothers Robert, Edward "Bud", Laurie.
Funeral service 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Gregory's Roman Catholic
Church, New Glasgow, Father Bernard MacAdam officiating.
Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
Donations in his memory to Canadian Diabetes Association.
