HURST, Mrs. Augusta Pethena - 79,
of Port Hilford, Guysborough County, died Wednesday
in St. Mary's Memorial Hospital, Sherbrooke.
Born in Jordanville, Guysborough County,
she was a daughter of the late Parker and Mary Ann (Pye) Jordan.
She was a life-long member of St. Thomas Anglican Church,
Indian Harbour Lake. She was a member of
Florence Fraser Chapter 47, O.E.S., Sherbrooke.
She was a member of the Women's Institute, Port Hilford.
She is survived by her husband, Alex;
a daughter, Mona (Mrs. Douglas Mills), Port Hilford;
three sons, Donald, Ashdale; Francis, Sackville; Sherman,
Kapuskasing, Ont; a sister, Mrs. Sophia Jordon, Jordanville;
nine grandchildren; two-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by three sisters, Dorothy, Maude and Grace,
five brothers, George, Trueman, Asa, Lorne and Freeman.
The body will be in St. Thomas Anglican Church
with visiting 2-4p.m. and 7-9 p.m. today and funeral service
Friday at 2 p.m. Rev. Gregory MacMullin officiating.
Burial will be in Sunset Rest Cemtery, Indian Harbour Lake.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to
St. Thomas Anglican Church or St. Marys Memorial Hospital.
