HORTON, Etta Lillian ~ 81, Port Bickerton, Guysborough Co., died April 17, 1997, at home. Born at Port Bickerton, she was a daughter of the late Everett Garfield and Amanda Bessie (Kaiser) Horton. She was a member of Port Bickerton United Baptist Church. She was a former employee of Moirs Chocolates, Halifax, and Bickerton Co-op Fish Plant. Surviving are sisters, Rhoda Harpell, Clare (Mrs. Roy Harpell), Port Bickerson; Jean (Mrs. Maurice Kaiser), Harpellville; Leona Newcombe, Sherbrooke; brothers, Weldon, Kenneth, Frederick, Port Bickerton; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brother, Maurice. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today, funeral 2 p.m. Sunday, both in Port Bickerton United Baptist Church, Rev. Archie Leach officiating. Burial in Hillside Cemetery, Port Bickerton. Donations to St. Mary’s Memorial Hospital or Port Bickerton Untied Baptist Church. Arrangements entrusted to G.W. Giffin Funeral Home, Country Harbour.
