John William McIntosh

Sherbrooke - John William (Bill) McIntosh, 74,
of Sherbrooke, Guysborough County, died Saturday, April 2, 1994,
in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish.
Born in Sherbrooke, he was a son of the late
Alex and Katherine (Michaud) McIntosh.
He served during the Second World War with the Pictou Highlanders
and the Cape Breton Highlanders and was wounded
in Italy. He retired from Camp Hill Hospital in 1976
after 30 years of service. He was the last surviving member
of his immediate family. He is survived by his wife,
the former Frances LeBlanc; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by two sisters, Mary, Flora;
a brother Joe. Visitation is 7-9 p.m. today
in St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Sherbrooke, where the funeral
service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday. Interment will follow
in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Stillwater, under the direction
of Ecum Secum Funeral Home. Family flowers only.
Donations may be made to Kidney Foundation of Canada, Nova Scotia Branch
or Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
