Rev. Maurice V CONNOLLY

Maurice Valentine Connolly, 82,
passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2008 at St. Patrick's Manor in Framingham, MA.

Born February 14, 1926 in Manchester, Guysborough County, NS,
he was the son of the late Daniel and Margaret M. (Halloran) Connolly.

Reverend Connolly was a graduate of Guysborough Academy
and also a graduate of St.Francis Xavier University, Antigonish, NS, class of 1950.
In 1951, he relocated to the United States,
and in 1956 he entered St. John's Seminary in Brighton, MA where he was ordained by Cardinal Cushing in 1962.
He was a parish priest with the Archdiocese of Boston,
with one of his assignments being St. Joseph's Church in Wakefield, MA. His last assignment was at St. James Church in Salem, MA.

He was also a member of the Knight of Columbus.

Once retired, Reverend Connolly resided at Youville House in Cambridge, MA
and was recently transferred to St. Patrick's Manor in Framingham, MA.

Reverend Connolly is survived by two brothers John Raphael and wife Isabel, Peabody, MA
and Joseph of Toronto, ON. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by brothers, Donald and James,
and infant twin brother Myles, one sister Marie Chisholm.

Father Maurice laid in state at St. Joseph's Church, 173 Albion St. Wakefield, MA
on Monday July 28 from 4-8 p m, with burial from the church after funeral mass on Tuesday, July 29 at 10 a.m.
Interment was at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody, MA.
