There passed away at the home of her daughter,
Mrs. Gertrude Rood,
9 James Street, Dartmouth,
Monday, October 11, Mrs. Sarah Hurst,
in her 97th year.
Born in Port Hilford, she lived there until
the death of her husband,
the late
Captain Simeon Hurst, 15 years ago.
She was always a devout Christian,
interested in all good works and
beloved by all.
She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Fannie Rood,
Sonora, Guysboro
County, two daughters,
Mrs. Morrell K. Dean, Raynham, Mass. and Mrs.
Gertrude Rood,
Dartmouth; four sons, John R., at Port Hilford; George H.
and
Simeon A.,
Halifax and Frank A., Colbalt, Ontario.
Funeral arrangements have not yet been announced.
