Nelson James Dort
DORT, Nelson James - 63, Hazel Hill, Guysborough Co.,
died April 18,
2001, in Eastern Memorial Hospital, Canso.
Born in Canso, son of the
late James and Edna (Newell) Dort.
He worked in the fishing industry
most of his life.
He was a member of All Saints Anglican Church and was
a former warden.
He was formerly involved with minor hockey in the Canso
area.
Surviving are his wife, the former Marion Bond; daughter, Diana,
at home;
sons, Dean, Halifax; Derrick, Fredericton, N.B.; sisters, Rhoda
(Allan),
Port Coquitlam, B.C.; Sylvia (Ean), Deep River, Ont.; Betty
MacDonald,
Hazel Hill; Virginia Dort, Halifax; Beverley (Robert),
Sackville;
granddaughter, Alexander (Lexie). He was predeceased by
sister, Beverley.
Funeral service was Saturday in All Saints Anglican
Church, Canso;
Rev. Wissler officated. Cremation to follow.
Interment in All Saints Anglican Cemetery at a later date.
