MARY ELLEN MURPHY -- 93 Sackville,
formerly of Canso, died Wednesday in Camp Hill Hospital.
Born in Canso, she was a daughter of the late
James and Bridget (George) Dort.
The last surviving member of her immediate family,
she is survived by a daughter, Effie MacNeil, Halifax,
eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Austin; two great-grandchildren.
The body is in Cruikshank's Funeral Home, Halifax,
with visiting 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. today and Friday.
Funeral mass will be 2 p.m. Saturday,
in Star of the Sea Parish, Canso,
with Rev. Anthony O'Connor officiating.
Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
