OBIT # 252 - HALIFAX HERALD - 24 DECEMBER 1992

SINNIS, Elsie M. - 99, Westville, formerly of Stellarton,
died December 22, 1992, in Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow.
Born in Sonora, Guysborough County, she was a daughter of the late
William H. and Lillias (Kingwell) Green.
She had resided in Halifax for several years
before returning to Pictou County.
She was a member of the Anglican Church of Canada
and while in Halifax, attended St. Matthias Anglican Church.
She was recently presented with a certificate of appreciation
from the Golden Lake Rebekah Lodge, No. 2 for 72 years of faithful service.
She is survived by two daughters, Jean (Mrs. J. Henry Fraser), Westville;
Eva MacLeod, Chilliwack, B.C.; son, Douglas, Riverton;
17 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Edwin McGrath;
second husband, George W. Sinnis;
daughter, Helen McGrath-Michaud; two sons, Elmer McGrath,
Gerald Sinnis; three sisters,
Margaret Ford, Irene MacAdam, Eva Miller; an infant brother, Elmer.
The body is in Eagles Funeral Home, Westville.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. today in St. Bees' Anglican Church, Westville,
Rev. Ron Walker officiating. Burial will be
in MacLeod's Cemetery, Foxbrook. Family flowers only.
Donations may be made to any charity.
