FELTMATE, Arthur E. 69,
Brooklyn Street, Antigonish, formerly of Goshen,
Guysborough County, died Thursday in Eight Island Lake, Guysborough County.
Born in Eight Island Lake, he was a son of the late
Seaward and Elizabeth (Cummings) Feltmate.
He was a general contractor, a sawmill operator,
a Christmas tree grower and exporter, and a raw-fur buyer.
He was a veteran of the Second World War,
having served with Royal Canadian Air Force,
member of Stormont Masonic Lodge 96.
He was an adherent of Goshen Gospel Church.
He is survived by two daughters, Patricia (Mrs. Sandy Stewart),
Antigonish; Sharon (Mrs. Ralph Pinaud), Lower Sackville;
six brothers, Merritt, Chesley, Murray, all of Goshen;
Harold, Guysborough; Gordon, Toronto; Rev. Donald, Ottawa;
five grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife
the former Muriel Florence Worth. The body is in
Curry Brothers Funeral Home, Church Street, Antigonish;
visiting 2-5, 7-9 p.m. today. Funeral will be 2 p.m.
Sunday in Goshen Gospel Church, Rev. Walter Dueck officiating.
Cremation to follow. Donations may be made
to the Nova Scotia Heart Foundation or a charity of choice.
