I woke up at about 8:00 a.m. Checkout time at the hotel wasn't until noon, but I knew that I shouldn't try to go back to sleep, or I might miss it. Plus, I had a salon appointment for 12:15 p.m. to have my own hair styled, since it had been covered with the wig for a while. So it was time to retransform. Off came the nail polish, to be replaced with a base coat followed by a clear top coat. Then a shower, shampoo, and shaving of both legs and face. All that went on my face, and arms as well, was a coating of sunblock.
I sorted out my old cosmetics and bottles of nail polish, all of which I had brought with me on the trip, and threw much away. Then I carefully repacked everything, including placing my new wig in a plastic bag and suspending it from the hanger with one of my dresses inside the dress bag. I put on the pants, shirt, and red sneakers that I had come with, checked the room one last time for belongings, and left my room for the last time to check out.
