Ahh.. the Howling Sword. It's a nice sword, really. And it happens to be in the hand of the great, powerful, wonderful, unbeatable *cough* Sorry... got carried away there. Anyway, it's Zangulus's sword, and here's a bit about it.

The Demonic Howling Sword, Zangulus's weapon of choice. It, much like the legendary Sword of Light, is enchanted, but with dark purpose, not light.
Anyway... using this sword not only is Zangulus very skilled (and looks good usin' it, hotcha!) but he can do the special Howling Sword technique. In one quick slash, he can send a howling projectile at his enemy.

^_^; Well anyway... this is the sword Zangulus uses to challenge Gourry time and time again... though.. he never quite wins… No worries... I'm sure his winning the fight just wasn't covered in the series. ^_~ Right? Also, Zangulus returns in the NEXT series, still trying to fight Gourry (or at least get a challenge), and none-the-less, with a new attack! *cough*
