Ritual Props





In order to cast spells, you need to have some "props". Not all of thease props are necessary to preform the spell (for example, using your finger instead of a wand), and can be replaced by a normal around the house tool.

The following is a list of needed props (as well as some substitutes, to take place of the prop that you don't own) that are needed for casting a spell.




The Wand

The wand symbolizes the element of fire and is associated with growth, creativity, desire and force of will.
Substitute: your finger, or a pencil


The Cup or Cauldron

The cup is symbolized by the element of water and can be considered as feminine in gender. It deals with emotional concerns such as love, peace and kindness. The Cup is often used also as a container for mixing potions or for burning incence.
Substitute: Wine glass, or small round shaped glass.


The Sword or Dagger

The Dagger is related to the element of air. It is thought of as masculine in nature. It is concerned with sharp mental activity, logic and intellect.
Substitute: Kitchen knife


The Pentagram

The pentagram is assicociated with the element of earth, but is also used to represent all of the elements. It is feminine in gender and deals with destiny. It deals with stability, growth and prosperity.
Substitutes: none


The Alter

This is your work area, as well as the offering table to the spirits.
Substitutes: Small table or foot stool with a piece of wood on it for a hard surface.
