Beltempest Ashkevron IV was born into minor nobility as the second son of four children, and raised in a country manor nestled in the grasslands of the Eastern Territory. His religious yet liberal family paid allegiance and military support to a reigning self-proclaimed Duke of Paralence, a temperate, sheltered valley duchy of rich farmland and fine grazing; but one of the hundreds of independent nations and kingdoms that quilt the Eastern Territory in a patchwork menagerie.
Amiable and loving towards his other siblings, Bally minded not that he was not first in line, and therefore displaced as heir. Instead the lad drew fascination towards all things militant, chivalrous, and upstanding. His fair skill at swordplay and honest yearning to uphold the code of valor made him an excelent choice to squire to one of the knights of Duke Paralence.
And so it was that upon his tenth summer, he became squire to Sir Rethran of the Silver Dart, named so for that warrior's previous adventures in the battlefront skirmishes with the Wolfen Empire; but that is certainly another tale for another time. Now sixteen summers old, Bally has grown into a tall, dashing, and humble young man, just setting out to see the world as he travels with his Master and lord-knight. Honest and forthright without being a conceited twit, Bally is unfortunately still rather naieve and unknowing about much of the way of things.
