CHAPTER 4
The next morning the first thing I did was call up kari to talk. I told her everything that was happening and a sound in her voice told me there was something she wasnt telling me. I asked her repeatedly if there was sometihng she wanted to get off her mind and she said NO. So i let it go. Kari suggested I find someway to make up for what I had done. Forgetting your best friends birthday after all is one of the worse things a so called friend could have done.
After a couple of weeks i figured Justin would be feeling better by now but that wasnt the situation. Graduation was coming up soon and after that Justin and I might have to part if we go to different colleges but it already feels like there is a big gap in our relationship. I went over to his house with a cake and a birthday gift hoping to make amends. I decided to ring the doorbell instead of using my key but no one answered. Just then I heard a car pull into the driveway. I turned around to see Justin and Michelle. Michelle used to go out with Joey and her motto is "the more guys she goes out with, the better" and "the more hearts she breaks, the better." I hated Michelle and so did every other girl in school and Justin knows how much I loathe her and he feels the same way too so he was going out with her to get back at me. " Hey Talene, this is Michelle, Justin said. " I know who she is, I said, Justin can I talk to you for a minute?" " Actually Michelle and I were about to go inside so I cant talk to you right now." Justin and Michelle went inside and I saw a smirk on Michelle's face as they went in. I was so mad I couldnt believe that my best friend, the guy who has more common sense then I do is now going out with the biggest skank in school, yet worse than that was that he was going out with her because of his anger towards me.
JC came over to my house the next day and since he was Justin's best guy friend he knew everything that was going on. He asked me how i felt about Justin going out with michelle and i said that i think it was horrible because she is no good for him and i hate her. JC asked me if i was sure this anger was anger and not jealousy. I told him there was no reason to be jealous cuz Justin is my best friend and i only want the best for him and Michelle is the worse thing that could happen because she is going to break his heart. As much as I denied it though the green eyed monster in me was rearing its ugly head and jc noticed it right away. He told me to go over to Justin's and talk this all out with him.
