The Marikina Mahal Kita Foundation is a non-profit, non-religious, non-political organization founded in the U.S.A., dedicated to serve and help the people of Marikina. This foundation also serves as a link for all the Marikina Associations in the U.S.A. and Canada. It was co-founded in May of 1993 by Angelito "Boying" de la Paz of Los Angeles and Pepe Roxas of New York. The coordinators for the Marikina Mahal Kita Foundation (also representing each chapter of the Marikina Association in U.S.A. and Canada) are Roger Gonzales and Fred Flores for San Diego, Rico Senga for San Francisco, Eddie Tiamzon for Canada, and Jessie Pabalan for Los Angeles. The approximately 240 families of members and donors from the U.S.A. and Canada helped to make this project a success. On September of 1994, a street sweeper was delivered to the people of Marikina, Metro Manila, Philippines. This special vehicle helped the municipality of Marikina attain the "Greenest and Cleanest Town in Metro Manila" award for 1995.
