Should I ask? If I ask, would she think I was being nosey? Or she might think I have a thing for her... that would be bad. I don't have any feelings for her, do I? How could I? I just met her, but why do I feel like I've known her forever? What if she does have a boyfriend??
"You already finished?," Katy asked suprisedly, breaking the silence.
"Yeah," I said shortly out of discomfort, glancing around the room. Just ask.. "I-"
I was interrupted by a soft knocking on the door. Both Katy and I turned around to see the door opening slowly.
"Oh.. hey guys, I had no idea you were in here," I said, grinning.
Katy shot me a look, which I immediately ignored. I'm so gonna ask her later about this. Why would she care if I interrupted whatever she was doing with Scott? What exactly would they be doing? Maybe she just thinks I'm annoying, thats always a possibility...
"So, what's up?," I asked, with a fake smile, purposely being annoying.
"Nothing, Jen," Katy snapped, giving me the look of death.
"Ouch," I said, still smiling, "everyone was wondering where you were, so I just thought I'd come see.."
"What are you doing up here anyways?" I asked.
Katy rolled her eyes visibly and let out a barely audible groan. Scott coughed slightly. Maybe he thinks we forgot he was there. Katy obviously didn't...
"So anyways," I began, letting up on being obnoxious. I don't want Scott thinking I'm a total jerk."What are our plans for tonight? Are we going anywhere? Because I'm really bored, I need something to do, and besides that I need some food.."
"You're always hungry," Katy interjected.
"I know, and I really feel like having some Chinese, or like a really huge slice of pizza...," I rambled, making myself hungrier.
"Oh yeah!! Eric called and he wanted to go out to dinner or something tonight. He's gonna call back at 5:30, sooo wanna go out to dinner?"
"Um, yeah totally," Jen answered immediately. "Wanna go see if everyone else wants to? Scott do you want to?"
I suddenly snapped out of my own thoughts when I thought I heard my name.
"Hmm, what? Oh, yeah sure. Let's ask." I stammered.
"Kay," Jen agreed, looking at me.
