I, personally, had no problem with her. I loved Baby one more Time right away. As a devoted fan of MMC, I became an immediate fan. Then the press came out with the whole Justin/Britney thing. And of course, as a devoted Justin fan, I had to hate her. Still, as much as I fought it, I could not get over her catchy tunes and awesome dance moves in her videos. So I decided to give up the good fight. I like Britney Spears as an entertainer. She has an incredible voice and can dance like the dickens. Also, I think she's really pretty with a great taste of clothing (sometimes). Now, as I said, I like her as an entertainer, but that's as far as it goes. I have no respect for her because she got those boob implants. On the other hand, she has the right to make that decision if she wants to. Yeah, she's a hyppocrite for saying that girls should follow their dreams and be themselves. What can you say though? A young kid trying to make it in the cruel business of Music that got sucked in. It happens.
Millions and millions of adolecent girls loathe her, yet buy her CD and try to be like her. They have no reason to not like her. Okay, so what if Justin and her are dating. Let's go cry about it alright? Repeat after me: JUSTIN IS A HUMAN BEING. Guys all over the world fantasize about her every night. Man, how could you not want that? She's an amazing dancer with a great resume' behind her. Hey, if this singing thing doesn't work out, she has lots of options to fall back on.
What I'm trying to say is, judge Britney on her music just like you do with every other musician, not her personal life. Sure, she does things off-stage that may offend some people. But what musicians don't? Do you think NSync are the perfect little angels they perceive to be? If you do, you've got another thing coming, my friend. -Nikki
Now, I will admit when ...Baby One More Time came out I listened to it 24/7. But...times they did a change. I used to like Britney, some what, but then I read an interview and saw her in concert (opening for N SYNC) and saw some pictures. She dressed like a hooch in every one. I will admit on her CD,which I own, she can sing very well. And in her videos she can dance. But have you people seen her on Rosie? Or in concert, opening for N SYNC? I have and she cant dance at all in person! She cannot sing as well as she can on her CD. Therefore I think she is not AS TALENTED as she is when she is technology enhanced.
Also, did any of you see the Rolling Stone issue featuring Britney Spears? I did, and her pictures are nasty! If she wants to be such a "good role model" to little girls everywhere then how come she dresses like that? She knew before she even started this buisness that she would be a role model, wheather she wanted to or not. That means she shouldnt wear that kind of stuff and actually go out and take pictures for a popualar magazine. SO basicly what she is saying to me is "Look at me, Im a slut and I like to tell kids to dress like me!!" And I know that she has freedom or whatever but you would think she would have a thought about all the 5 year olds that look up to her before she signs a contract. Yaknowwhatimsayin? And did you see the Nick's Kid's Choice Awards? Holy lord! If I had a little sister that shirt would be a couple sizes to big for her! I mean get a clue.
I mean I do own Britney's CD and I do pop it in the CD player every once in a while. I do jam to it before going to a dance to "pump me up" but I dont like her at all. And I dont know if the boob implants are true but if they are I think she should get a dictonary and look up the word role-model. I can almost qauruntee it wont have her picture next to the definetion. I like her music, when she doesnt preform live. I hate what she stands for and the Justin thing makes me even sicker. I wish that if they were dating they would fess up I know I would have more respect for them both than I do now. But anyways, I hate her message and I hate the way she plays her fame like its a porno. Well...thats all I gotta say about that!
