Angiosperms - flowering plants
Anthophyta
Today, angiosperm, or flowering plants are the most diverse and widespread of all plants.
There are about 235,000 species known. All angiosperm are placed in one division,
Anthophyta, and is split into two classes: monocots and dicots. Examples of monocots
are lillies, orchids, palms, and grasses. Among the dicot family are roses, peas,
buttercups, sunflowers, oaks and maples.

In most angiosperms, insects and other animals transfr pollen to female sex organs, but there are some plants that are wind pollinated
