This is where I let out all my anger and just rant, rant, rant, rant! WARNING--it will either offend you or make you laugh or it will be downright STUPID.

PSX2 will fail. I know it. First off, it costs WAAAAAY too much. Second, even with backwards capability, it will have very few games, because most people who buy it are going to have just jumped onto the Sony bandwagon, as some would say. Why the heck would anyone want to buy a $500-1,000 system with very few games that is EXTREMELY hard to develop for? Because they have lots of money. Let me tell you, if you have enough money for a PSX2, you could buy a Dreamcast and almost all of it's launch games--which, if I may remind you, rule. Besides--the only confirmed developers I've heard of going with Sony are Squaresoft. WHOOPDEDOO! If you want a system, buy a Dreamcast, N64, Playstation, or wait for Dolphin (AKA Flipper, LoL!). If you want an overpriced entertainment booth, wait for PSX2.

What the heck is with graphics these days? It's getting real common for games to have purty graphics and weak stories, the opposite of the games of yesteryear. Even Squaresoft is losing it's touch. Final Fantasy 7 and 8 are terrible because of how much time Square put in their graphics and not stories (even though I thought FF7's story was pretty good). All the characters are getting cliché, as are stories. The only genres that it doesn't matter are: Sports, Fighting, and Racing. Quite frankly, I don't give half a monkey's a$$ about graphics, even though it's kinda nice to see where you're going.

Why does everyone like Xenogears so much?? I think the game had a very, very weak story, much like FF7's and 8's. The characters were cliché. Fei: Unsure guy with an unknown past. Elly: Rickety (sp?) cop-like person. Citan: The basic genius. Bart: He's a pirate, what more do ya' want?! Yes, I HAVE played the game, and I thought it sucked. The music was practically the same thing over, and over, and over, the battle music sucked, there was NO victory fanfare (which I've grown to like, it makes you feel like you've accomplished something), and I couldn't hear any themes in there. The world map song sucked, too, unlike FF7's, which made you want to listen. The sprites were terribly blurred with practically no outlines, and when it zoomed in they view was TERRIBLE. The squares they used to make them were much, much too big. It also had very bad camera angles and I frequently had to switch. As for enemies, they had the same attacks with different names. So did the characters. Fei and Citan were equally matched, when you'd think that Fei would be better at fighting and Citan a healer or something, nope, they made the genius a God. My friend One can't fight that good, and he's a genius, too! The story, as I said before, was very weak. My friend `Ryu`, or was it gamemaster60?, said "evil gods, wicked scientists and huge robots!" Um, when I want that, I think I'll watch an anime. There are many, many games and movies that include huge robots, evil gods, and wicked scientists. Elly wasn't developed enough, neither was anyone else, except Fei, I think, if you played for awhile. I mean, the game is ABOUT Fei, he has to be developed. To conclude, I really didn't like this game. Terrible music and sprites, a weak story, and cliché characters who weren't interesting in the least. If you want a game with good music, sprites, story, and characters, play FFT. Even though I'll grant it this game was kinda funny... with the floating cups and "Don't call me son cuz you sure ain't my pops!" LOL!
