Now 5 years later Cloud painfully realizes that their journey has just begun.
Living in a large house in Sector 8 with Tifa, who he is now married to, they notices a large flash of red energy all over the sky. Tifa and Cloud realize it must be Sephiroth and decide to go see Barret in Kalm.
Barret is living happily after getting a new arm and living in peace with Marlene, and married to Aeris's foster mom, Elmyra.
After a long scene and having Reeve, who now runs Midgar, fly you to Junon where Prissila "insists" she should come along and help, you fly over to Cosmo Canyon to seek the help of Nanaki who is now the guardian of Cosmo Canyon.
He decides it is best that they restore Seto, whose wisdom surpasses even Bugenhagen's. He tells you, "To destroy Sephiroth, who is a threat to this very universe, you must seek the power of the planet's gaurdians". You realize he means the Cetra and he guides you to the lake where Aeris rests and you teleport to the bottom of the lake.
You are in a tunnel like cave at the end an altar where Aeris's soul rests in a crystal. Seto reveals when a Ancient is killed they return to a crystal that contains their soul, spirit, and body. Seto tells you to reveal your reason for asking the planet to release the soul of this woman and the Earth grants your request.
Aeris says that her mom talked of the only 2 remaining ancients left on the planet. You find one of them: Jeanne, a female ancient, who is very powerful and kind-hearted.
You think, "We must have all of the rest to help us in this battle," so you get Cid (who is married to Shera) to join along with access to the new airship. You then hear about Vincent living with Lucrecia in the Corel mountains, [Chibi's Note: Uhh... didn't Lucrecia die, Seto?] and Yuffie who is head of the pagoda, and also much more mature. [Chibi's Note: Yeah, right]
Shera pilots you above a pillar of energy that hundreds of the black-robes are gathered around. Once at the bottom of the cave you see Jenova in front of a large test tube and battle commences. After a long, hard battle against Jenova and her six forms, Cloud does a double omnislash to finish her off. As you leave a large figure emerges from the ocean. Seto says he knows nothing of this,and you enter it. It's a city, and inside you hear of "the prince", until finally a maid tells you he is in his dojo.
As you aproach a scene starts--Mikel, the prince of Naba, dressed in a red gi with a long black belt and short brown hair suddenly charges the wall, flips landing hard on a monster, and he then charges 2 monsters coming close, teleporting behind them and landing a elbow hard in their backs. He then fights 5 more monsters with punches and kicks. Then a big beast appears, that lands a punch to Mikel's back. Mikel punches him hard around 20 times ducks and, spinning and jumping, uppercuts then teleports to the back of the room, fires a huge beam, and then says "What's up?" like it was nothing!! [Chibi's Note: 0_0]
You all must now travel to Nibelhiem where you meet THE Sephiroth. Sephiroth kills Barret in a punch!! And reveals that he and Cloud are gods! [Chibi's Note: Oh, yeah I'm sooo sure. I spent two years living with that Sephiroth, and he isn't any God!!] Mikel, who was 20 times stronger than you all, raises your power to almost as high as he is.
You now can either travel earth doing the many, many secrets, or take a rocket to a incredibly high palace.
You confront Sephiroth after completing the longest dungeon ever. He talks, then throws you all to Earth and takes Aeris and Jeanne. You consider giving up but...
You find Roni, who is an ancient, waiting for you. Suddenly the black-robes attack midgar!!! Reeve dispatches the entire Shinra army, and SOLDIER in a huge battle.
Depending on if you win or lose the game splits. If you lose the world gets almost devastated and Roni says "We should go destroy him before they terrorize the world any more!!!"
And if you win Reeve lets you have 1 member of the Turks now led by [Sammy's Note: !! REEEEENO!] Reno.
You then have Roni offer to bring you to the Palace of Sephiroth, the ultimate evil with power equal to 4x his previous form!!! After the fight Sephiroth stands up and announces he is immortal!!!!!!!! Then Bugenhagen, the Cetra, Lifestream, Barret, and Holy appear in the room. Bugenhagen says "I am the God of Earth, Sephiroth is God of Darkness, and you Cloud are God of Light!!!!" [Chibi's Note: Hey, isn't that Demeter, Hades, and Loki? Wait, Loki was the god of FIRELIGHT... silly me.] They all combine their power to seal Sephiroth in a void. Just before they do Sephiroth kills himself, but he devestated all of Earth too!
The Cetra reveal the promised land where the humans who survived live for ever.....
