DR. DREW SELECTS INTERVU SOLUTIONS FOR NEW WEBSITE AIMED AT INTERNET GENERATION
INTERVU's Streaming Media Technology to Enhance Live drDrew.com Web Events
SAN DIEGO, CA -- (INTERNET WIRE) -- 10/05/99 -- INTERVU Inc. (Nasdaq: ITVU), the leading service provider for Internet audio and video delivery solutions and the pioneer in distributed streaming delivery, today announced that it will provide a complete end-to-end streaming media solution for Dr. Drew Pinsky, better known as "Dr. Drew," and his new health and lifestyle community site, www.drDrew.com. Dr. Drew is the co-host and creator of the ever-popular Loveline, a nationally syndicated show that airs on Viacom's MTV and the Westwood One radio network.

Dr. Drew specifically created the Web site in order to provide 14-34 year-olds with relevant health and lifestyle advice that is important to them, such as information on sexually transmitted diseases and eating disorders, through their medium of choice, the Internet.

The INTERVU solution offers drDrew.com members one of the first Internet Webcasts of its kind - a live venue in Old Pasadena, CA where the audience can call in or chat with Dr. Drew and a guest about sex, health, and relationships. The customized production studio created by INTERVU has been designed to allow people who pass by the glass-front studio to look inside and see Dr. Drew's shows being taped live.

Twice a week, INTERVU will film, host and deliver drDrew.com's 30-minute show live to site members via INTERVU's patented distributed network for streaming media content. In addition, all shows will be archived for one week to make them available to those site members who may have missed the live Webcasts.

"We selected INTERVU for this project because we believe they are the only streaming media service provider that offers a complete end-to-end solution - from production to hosting and delivery," said Curtis Geisen, CEO of drDrew.com. "We are impressed with INTERVU's experience in this area and are confident that they will deliver a high-quality experience to our tech-savy audience."

The drDrew.com site will demonstrate how the Internet can be utilized to deliver personal and intimate content that appeals to mass audiences. The site will feature relevant health and lifestyle-oriented content, including daily question and answer sessions with Dr. Drew, content from health organizations, including the National Institute of Health, searchable databases, access to a network of contributing doctors, support groups, and contact information for local health services and professionals.

Site members will be encouraged to participate in lively community activities, including discussions of timely topics, polls and research, and real-life stories that will be featured daily. DrDrew.com will also offer profiles, interviews and chats with cutting-edge celebrities who will share personal stories, address issues and provide further insight and understanding of many of the concerns faced by today's youth.

"We are pleased to be a part of Dr. Drew's efforts for youth around the world," said Ed Huguez, chief operating officer for INTERVU. "We hope through our technology solutions and Dr. Drew's expert advice on medicine and health, that we will make a difference for the young people who visit the site through education via leading technology and creating a strong sense of community."
