Smiles that you bring

when you touch a heart

never know what it mean

but just know your apart

never seeing the one

that types upon the screen

only to reach out

and make that person sing

you came upon this broken girl

whose heart was beyond repair

you told her of things in life

and that someone would soon care

you told her it only hurts for awhile

that she would rise above

you told her of many people

who found someone to love

you told her of the pain

that would soon go away

you told her you'd be her friend

forever and today
