In the Mist of reality

In the mist of all I see
I put your feeling ahead of me
I sat and waited by your side
as i watched love pass us by

and in a haze that I saw you in
I put you on a pedestal again
and looked deep into your eyes
not knowing my hurts or your demise

and when the curtain
came crashing down
my blinders were removed
to see what I had found

It was more then I thought
My heart ruled my head
and once again I got caught
love and feelings are just the same
no romance or even gain

And in this mist
I now do see
your heart wasn't
ready for a love like me.....
