From Out of Nowhere
Just split from a marriage
That was going nowhere
Working hard to regain
The love he and I no longer shared
Never thinking about the dating scene
Just working out my life
To rise through all the misery
And forget I was ever a wife
As you stood in my line
At the electronic store
A smile came upon our face
We knew we both wanted something more
You walked up slowly
To see what you could find
We both started blushing
We knew it was our time
You asked me for my number
As I began to write
You told me you wanted a date
Somehow this just felt right
We set a date to go out
And much to my surprise
I was leaving work one night
And you were in my eyes
I asked "What are you doing here?"
You smiled with a grin
You said "I've been thinking about you
I want this love story to begin"
You really touched my heart
For waiting for so long
Even though I wasn't expecting you
I saw all your charm
So tonight is the night
Of our first date
I talked to you on the phone
We both can hardly wait
We are both like children
In a candy store
We have so much in common
Who could ask for anything more
