The dog training classes at the Orinda Community Center were started by Loretta over 26 years ago. She currently instructs the following classes at the Center: 5 beginners, 1 puppy, 4 Novice, and 2 open/utility.

Loretta holds private training sessions in behavior modification, as well as competition obedience. She is also head trainer at the Mt. Diablo Dog Training Club, currently training 2 beginners, Novice 2, and Open classes.

Loretta started out with German Shepherds, then acquired shelties and border collies. She is on the Sheltie and Border Collie rescue and is a member of the new Border Collie Club of Northern California. Her new border collie, Holly, currently has 10 points toward her breed championship, including a 4 pt. major; 3 herding titles and a CD.

She has been a member of the National Association of Obedience Instructors for over 20 years. Loretta is also an AKC obedience judge at the utility level.
