Album Review:
Bruce Springsteen's Greatest Hits is a collection that has something for everyone. For the die-hard Springsteen fan who owns all his albums, it has the Emmy winning "Streets of Philadelphia" Jerry Maguire's "Secret Garden," the long awaited "Murder Incorporated" originally to be released on "Born In The U.S.A." and two new heartfelt songs. So that is 5 new songs, not available on any other CD. Then, as for the "Greatest Hits" they are here, but not necessarily what you would expect. Not here are "Bobby Jean" and "Cover Me" but here are songs like "Atlantic City." The basic pattern is that their is atleast 1 track from every studio album Springsteen produced, without exception. The classics "Born In The U.S.A.," "Thunder Road," "Born To Run" and "Dancing In The Dark" are here, as well as several other hits. While their is no "theme" to this album, the songs speak for themselves, and make this a great CD to have if you don't have many or any CD's of the boss, or if you want any of his 5 newly released songs.
