Bustopher Jones

Bustopher Jones is not skin and bones,
In fact, he's remarkably fat.
He doesn't haunt pubs, he has eight or nine clubs.
For he's the St. James's Street cat.
He's the cat we all greet as he walks down the street.
In his coat of fastidious black.
No common-place mousers have such well cut trousers,
or such an impeccable back.

In the whole of St.James's the smartest of names is
the name of this brummel of cats.
And we're all of us proud to be nodded or bowed to
by Bustopher Jones in white spats.

He's the cat about town.
He enjoys to dine at fine restaurants and golf.

He is a 25-pounder (that means that he is a little bit fat)
and you can find him in Clubs only, he never shows up in pubs!
His nickname is St. James Street cat, and he always wears a dinnerjacket.
No womder, becouse he is eating all the time.
But although he is a goumet, he likes to eat really everything!

His song is sung by himself and the Girlie-trio (Jenny, Jelly, Bombie).
He is a pretty funny cat. He is so fat!
He looks more like a penguin than a cat :)
What there is in his "white spats" anyway?

Some of Bustopher's favourite foods: mutton (lamb), curry (rice),venison (deer).
None of these selections are available as act food flavors.

For the Cats Video only, Bustopher and Gus were played by different actors.
He is played by:

James Barron: Video, 1997-98, also performed in the London company.
For the other Bustopher actors, please refer to the entry of Gus, the theatre cat.
