I once prayed for God to bring me a love that was true.
He blessed me with His best work of art-- you!
I'm so thankful for what the Good Lord brought
because it was more than what I sought.
I was faithful and true to you
just like I promised Him I would do.
And in return He assured us with happiness.
We grew older so quickly in time with carelessness.
We had the world in our grasp
but time passed us by too fast.

Just the thought of living without you breaks my heart,
