Meredith Brooks The Interview.

Los Angeles May 28th 1997

Hear Meredith in a VERY exclusive interview about her career, her album and her outlook on stuff. The CD I gave away contained all of these questions and answers, with Meredith answering the questions below.

Q1: You grew up in Oregon, why did you move to Los Angeles?

Q2: How did you start playing the guitar?

Q3: When you came down to L.A., were you playing by yourself to start off with, or is that when you joined the Graces?

Q4: How was your experience with The Graces? Was it a good learning experience for you as your first major label album?

Q5: What were you doing in between the end of The Graces and your solo record on Capitol?

Q6: It's a very personal album. Do you draw from your own experiences or observe other people in what's going on around you?

Q7: Could you talk a little about the song "Bitch"? Is it autobiographical? How do you feel about how strongly people identify with it as some consider it a sort of album for the 90's?

Q8: Could you tell me about your favourite songs on the album?

Q9: Could you tell me about your collaborators on the album, the other songwriters?

Q10: How did you end up working with your producer, David Ricketts?

Q11: Are you more comfortable as a singer, or as a guitarist, or equally both?

Q12: Do you have any role models, anyone who you looked up to growing up, people that you still look up to?
