Phil Collins' "You'll Be in My Heart" from Disney's Tarzan took home good ole Oscar at the end of the night. But, that didn't stop Sarah one bit from pouring it all on on stage! Kudos to Sarah for a lovely performance and a great outfit too.

Randy Newman's song for Disney's Toy Story 2, sung by Sarah, gets Oscar nod...

Sarah McLachlan and Randy Newman both received an Oscar nomination in the category of Original Song for When She Loved Me, the popular ballad which appears in Disney's hit film Toy Story 2. The original song was written by Randy Newman, and sung by Sarah in the film, and is only available on the soundtrack to the movie. The 72nd Annual Academy Awards will air Sunday, March 26th from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. Sarah will be in attendance, and will perform the song at the Oscar ceremonies.

03.12.00 - Juno Awards - International Achievement Award

Sarah McLachlan was presented with the International Achievement Award, presented by former honoree Morissette.

"As a Canadian you always feel...(that) we don't necessarily deserve these things. It's just really nice for me to be recognized within my own country for something I feel incredibly proud of. So this probably means more to me than any other award I've ever gotten,'' said McLachlan.

McLachlan credits her award for creating the all-female summer festival tour ``Lilith Fair.''

02.03.00 - Juno's and Order of Canada

Sarah will receive the International Acheivement Award at this year's Juno Awards (Canada's version of the Grammy's) from CARAS (Canadian Academy Of Recording Arts & Sciences). Sarah will be present to accept the award, but is not slated to perform. The Juno's will air on CBC-TV on *Sunday, March 12th* at 8pm (EST) from the Metro Convention Centre in downtown Toronto. As well, the show will be netcast via the official site.

Sarah was recently honoured with the Order Of Canada, one of Canada's highest, most prestigious awards, and is now officially an Officer of the Order of Canada. Eighty-one other Canadians were so honoured, and will receive their honour from Governor-General Adrienne Clarkson at the investiture at Rideau Hall in Ottawa. An official date for the ceremonies has yet to determined. As well, the ceremony will most likely only available for broadcast in Canada.

When Sarah McLachlan accepts the International Achievement Award at this year's Juno Awards -- Canada's most prestigious music industry event -- she'll take home the first completely redesigned statuette in the event's 29-year history.

The new award, a human image made of molten glass wrapped in a spiralling blank musical staff that emerges from a half-sphere base, was unveiled at a press conference held Wednesday at the Glenn Gould Studio in Toronto.

02.25.00 - Sarah scores a Grammy!
Sarah takes home a Grammy for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance...

Sarah McLachlan ended up taking home her third Grammy Award, in the category of Best Female Pop Vocal Performance, for her live version of I Will Remember You from her live album Mirrorball, at the 42nd Annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles.

Sarah managed to beat out such competition as Christina Aguilera, Madonna, Britney Spears and Alanis Morissette.

12.10.99 - Sarah wins Billboard Music Award! Sarah caps 1999 with a Billboard Music Award...

In an untelevised portion of the show, Sarah McLachlan took home a 1999 Billboard Music Award for Best Contemporary Adult Single for her popular chart-topping ballad, Angel, which originally appeared on her 1997 album, Surfacing, and which subsequently appeared on such best-selling albums as the City of Angels soundtrack, as well as on her live concert album Mirrorball.

During the TV broadcast of the Billboard Music Awards earlier this week, Sarah was in attendance to also present friend and fellow Lilith Fair participant Emmylou Harris with Billboard's 1999 Century Award.
