Larose Forest

Hope to have some more pic's scaned soon and get them up here.

This is a 77,000 acre conservation area not more than 20 min from my home and about 40 min from Ottawa with hundreds of forest acces roads and trails of all kinds. I went to check out some of these trails with a friend of mine who has a full size Chevy and altough we ran out of light it looks good for a possible run in the future with a bigger group.

The first pic was taken as we were driving down the road heading for the highway. Not realy a great day to head out four wheeling but hey, we try our hardest to get dirty. The second is me getting out to retrieve my knocked off CB antena ( to close to a big tree branch ).

This is the chev getting out of a hole he wanted to take a shot of just how much articulation a stocker has.

Not bad.

Pathfinder in the distance....Pathfinder making waves.

I think some water got to the exhaust not to mention in the window that I never thought of closing.

Once again the Chevy flex's it's stuff and enters cautiously into /onto the road ?

As you can see the road ? or sould I say swamp did get deeper. All of a sudden the bumper was gone !

We had to be carfull even on what seemed to be good road. They grow the puddles deep here.

By the previous pic and this one you can see that we ran out of light but that just made getting out a bit more challenging. We ran into only one other truck on the trail and that was on the way out. In the pitch black a Toyota, all alone appeared from nowhere and was heading into the depths of the park. I hope he had a winch.
