Ok, you may be wondering why Green Day is Uppy's favorite band. Why? because I like their music and if you don't like then go fuck a Goddamn tree you cumwad! Anyways, I would just like to say that Green Day is my favorite band and I like their music a lot. And Billie Joe Armstrong is my idol.
To give you a little in sight of the band they were first the Sweet Children and Tre Cool wasn't the original drummer. Al Sobante was the original drummer. They stayed the Sweet Children from 87-90 and that's when they changed to Green Day, after one their songs (#5 on 1039/Smoothed Out Slappy Hours). After their second album on Lookout! Record Al quit the band to go to college. That's when they got Tre cause Tre was Al's drum instructor. That's when the major record companies learned about their growing underground popularity and wanted to sign a major contract. They eventually got signed with Reprise despite getting bigger offers from different labels. Despite loosing popularity by "selling out" after their Dookie album by saying they weren't punk anymore they still go on. They currently have 5 albums (U.S. releases) and have another one coming in the next year or so. That's all I have to say about them cause I doubt you have made it this far.
It's been awhile since I have updated this page but since the last time Green Day has released "Warning". Their cd's in order are "1,039 Smoothed Out Slappy Hours", "Kerplunk", "Dookie", "Insomniac", "Nimrod", and "Warning". Dookie is the best...then I would say it goes Insomniac, Warning, Nimrod, 1,039 Smoothed Out Slappy Hours, and last Kerplunk but they are all good. Green Day still has one more album to go on their contract with Reprise Records. I'm guessing the next cd will come out in about late 2003 or early 2004. All of GD's record have gone at least gold.
