Consisting of: The Darkangel, A Gathering of Gargoyles, and The Pearl of the Soul of the World. I've only read the first one, but it is a very unusual, beautiful book. It deals with the girl Aeriel, who follows her mistress when she is captured to be the Darkangel's thirteenth wife. Irrylath is evil, undoubtedly, but sometimes Aeriel senses in him some remaining light. Should she destroy him...or try to save him? If she does not destroy him, he will take his final wife and lose his last bit of goodness.
THE WOMAN WHO LOVED REINDEER
The first two times I read this, I didn't think very highly of it, but I liked it when I recently reread it. It's a rather quiet tale, more about the different varieties of love and trust and sacrifice than adventure. Unusual, with a lot of folklore that isn't from anything reality based.
