CD's MUSIC PAGE
This site is the Home Page of one of the best, up and coming, bands to hit the music scene in a long, LONG time.
"Purple Mountain Matinee" is a group that is hard to fit into any one music genre.
The individual members of the band have been influenced by some of the greatest artists of our time such as; the Eagles, Neil Young, Gipsy Kings, Sting, Acoustic Alchemy, and Tom Petty.
PMM has taken the sounds of folk, jazz, spanish, blues, ethereal and some rock/alternative and blended them together to create their unique sound.
Check out one of their songs or purchase a copy of their new CD over the internet.

Lyrics to some of my Favorite songs
TURNING THIRTY
Words and Music by
Randy Stonehill
I've got a house down by the
ocean
The rent is not too high
And I love to watch the ships come
in
And hear the seagulls cry
And lately I've been taking stock
Of all that I've been through
Oh tomorrow is my birthday
Feels funny but it's true
I'm turning thirty
Now I've got a wife who really
loves me
She makes my life so sweet
And a little baby daughter
Who plays games around my feet
And my world is very different
From those lazy bachelor years
But if I had the chance to go back
I'd rather stay right here
Turning thirty, I'm turning thirty
And I have friends that care
about me
They're the best I've ever had
And they always stood behind me
Whenever times got bad
And I love to play my music
Through the road can be a trial
But every time I walk on stage
It's worth each dusty mile
Turning thirty
Now thirty ain't like fifteen
And it's not like twenty-five
My back's a little stiff
And there're some lines around
my eyes
But I've still got my energy
And I've got most of my hair
And I'm not too old to rock 'n roll
And I'm not really scared
Of turning thirty
Oh, the eighties look like tough
times
The world is turning sour
So I'll keep on serving Jesus
And await the final hour
And though I've often failed Him
In these thirty rocky years
His mercy brought me this far
And His love has dried my tears
I'm turning thirty
I'll treasure these years
I'm turning thirty
And that's alright
I'm turning thirty
I'm turning thirty

LAST GRADUATION
You’ve been invited to remember the alumni
You check the calendar electing to go
Lets buy a tie just to honor this occasion
“ I’ll show the side of me I want them to know”
When they say…
Where have you been since the last graduation?
How have you changed the world you are in?
Is life a party or a sad revelation?
What do you do with the time of your life?
You find it hard to avoid interrogation
You clear your throat, you tell them a lie
Why must I deal with this cross-examination?
What does it matter what I do till I die?
Still it haunts you…
Where have you been since the last graduation?
How have you changed the world you are in?
Is life a party or a sad revelation?
What do you do with the time of your life?
What have you done with your life?
They voted you most likely to succeed in…
You were headed straight to the top
Where did the time go? What were the reasons?
When does all this questioning stop?
What have you done with your life?
What have you done with your life?
Now you’re invited to a final invocation
There’ll be a time your elected to go
You won’t be able to cancel this appointment
You aren’t at liberty to say yes or no
And you’ll hear…
Welcome tonight to the last graduation
How did you change the world you were in?
My only son is the hope of your salvation
What have you done with him in your life?

THIEF IN THE NIGHT
I could talk for hours but you wouldn’t hear a word
Your own opinions make you blind
There will come a morning when the sand has all run out
There will be no time to change your mind
Like a thief in the night he will come
There will be nowhere left you can run to
You can fall with the night or you can rise
With the son
He will come in glory, a rider in the sky
The lion and the lamb rest side by side
Children of the kingdom, he will gather to himself
Children of the darkness he will leave behind
Like a thief in the night he will come
There will be nowhere left you can run
You can fall with the night or you can rise
With the son
